ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY

Following completion of the State Environmental Study (SES) for roadway improvements at Bangerter Highway and 6200 South, UDOT continued to meet with stakeholder groups to discuss potential realignment concepts for the 6200 South and Fox Hills Drive/Dixie Drive intersection. 

Results of these discussions have led to a new design that would move the existing 6200 South and Fox Hills Drive/Dixie Drive intersection further west, approximately 250 feet. This design will accommodate all directions of travel, provide safer pedestrian crossing, and eliminate the need to widen 6200 South west to Country Hills Drive. Since the February 2019 SES Reevaluation, it has been determined that the existing access from 6200 South to the Better Business Bureau (3703 West 6200 South) would need to be permanently closed and a new access would be established from the new Dixie Drive. This change would allow for safer access to and from the Better Business Bureau. Both SES reevaluation documents are available for review by clicking the below links:
